This is subject to change as we add to it, but I'll list the important stuff for now so you can kinda grasp what all is going on and what has happened...
2026: Bartholomew is founded by Lord Bartholomew, age 35 at the time. He is an eccentric man who refuses to grow up.
2036: Though existing for only ten short years, Lord Bartholomew demands that all contact with the outside world be shut off. Despite the fact several claim it's insane, Bartholomew has a wall built around the entire country. After the existence of the Great Wall of China and the Berlin Wall, he can certainly have his Bartholoian wall. The country is too young and stupid to object.
2041: Bartholian propaganda is widespread. Prodigies begin showing up, and technology starts being dumbed down.
2046: Prodigies have morphed into the human tanks they are known as now. Tyranny is full fleged.
2061: The number system comes into play. At first people have names and numbers.
2062: Lord Bartholomew "dies" at the age of only fifty. Given the care of his country, no one really questions his short life span. His followers are having shorter life expectancies everyday. His adviser, Promethius, takes control. Under Promethius's control, the number system becomes full fledged.
2066: Wall is expanded for the first time since Bartholomew's existence. Many die due to being overworked. Population takes it's first major blow.
2068: Promethius is finally assassinated, but it was only a matter of time really. The Bartholian population is becoming wilder and wilder with each year. Brom, his closest family member (nephew), is given control at the age of thirty-two. His number was previously 793, but takes up the name Brom upon becoming ruler. As he is the ruler, no one can really tell him otherwise. He keeps the number system going, as it's the only way he knows.
2076: Thirteen's story takes place. No major milestones other than Brom's secret daughter, Abby, leaving to become one of the numbers. This is all kept under wraps, the public have no idea of this.
2111: Brom dies at the age of seventy-five, a pretty good span in Bartholian years. As Abby has become a number and never really existed to the public anyway, a man numbered 071 takes over. He is the first person in office to keep his number. He likes the old ways and intends to keep them going. He isn't as organized though, and the Bartholian population has become pretty animalistic by now (as you got from just Thirteen's kinds' behavior).
Things slowly decline from there...nothing major happens as of yet though. This part of their history is subject to change as you guys contribute though...
2476: The wall is expanded a second time. It isn't nearly as big of an expansion as the first time, however, as the outside world has become desolated in that area, and no one is willing to really work on it. Even the ruler doesn't feel like enforcing too great of an expansion. If anything, it makes the country look rounder.
2539: The plague hits. The greater part of the original Bartholomew is abandon or killed off. Those who survive migrate to the newer lands for shelter, advised to never return to the old area.
MORE HISTORY GAP!
3026: With several years passed and the population spiraling more and more out of control, people begin wandering back into the original homeland to explore. The land has a post-Apocalyptic feel to it where so much death had occurred and everything else had been left as it stood. The land is dubbed The Wasteland and is inhabited by the untamed explorers. That is how we find it today...
