Territories

Board Threads Posts Last Post
No New Posts The Junk Yard

Littered with the remains of old buses and electronics, this territory is often inhabited by Bartholians who are more accustomed to sleeping under the stars or building shanties and bunkers as opposed to living in elaborate buildings. Bartholians of a creative nature find themselves at home here. As it is small, only a few tribes inhabit it. Of course, unlike most small areas, tribespeople here aren't normally very territorial and are even downright friendly at times. Must be the open space...

No New Posts The Prison

The Prison can be Heaven or Hell for any Bartholian living there. While it's got tons of rooms (cells), spacious showers, and lots of kicking around space, it can really be a hassle if your leader gets mad and decides to lock you up. Not to mention that all the showers and most toilet facilities aren’t very private. Tribes of a more friendly nature can be found here, though, as they are often having to share space with other tribes. For the most part, they share different floors.

No New Posts The Asylum

Much like The Prison, The Asylum can be bad if you have a bad tempered leader, because it's full of restraints. However, unlike The Prison, the rooms and bathrooms and such are a lot more private. With a little fixing up, it could probably be quite cozy. Space is probably fair here as well, though not as big as The Prison. It also has some medications that could come in handy. Those who inhabit The Asylum tend to be more territorial due to the limited space.

No New Posts The Hospital

The Hospital is similar to The Asylum in many ways, but better due to more medication and tools and less restraints. Whatever tribes that tend to shack up here are at a pretty good position. This territory probably ranks third on the popularity level. Of course, also similar to The Asylum, those who shack up here are probably more territorial from being somewhat packed in with each other. I imagine they share floors much like The Prison.

No New Posts Carnival Grounds

While it's much like The Junkyard in nature of building homes, the Carnival Grounds can be a pretty cool place. If you’re brave enough to risk the rusted rides, a lot of them still function pretty well. There's also all sorts of trailers and concession stands to shack up in! And as immature as Bartholians are, there's plenty of pretty leftover prizes to claim. Also like The Junkyard, Bartholians here seem to have a more friendly nature and aren't as territorial.

No New Posts The Cemetery a.k.a. "The Bone Yard"

A very select few can be found here. They're usually the lowest of the low, and have robbed most of the graves found there. They have no problem shacking in mausoleums like little morbid tents either, and will probably throw the bodies out to make more room. Not exactly the best for decency, but you totally get high points in the scare factor for living here. Despite having open space like The Junkyard and The Carnival, Bone Yard inhabitants are often ruthless and very territorial.

No New Posts The Mall

This is the most popular of the territories, because it's full of unclaimed goods and great living facilities. Most tribes see this as a shared territory, however, and live in it sort of on and off depending on agreements. This territory is also the cause of many wars, because most Bartholians don’t stick to said agreements. It is one of the few places that doesn't have a set nature to it.

No New Posts The Hotel a.k.a. "Hotel California"

This is the second most popular territory. It has great living facilities, privacy, and tons of space. It's only lack is that it doesn't have many goods that come in handy for survival or bartering. Because it has so many floors and open space areas (like a pool), most of those who inhabit Hotel California aren't that territorial. Some even coexist with multiple tribes sharing one floor. I guess it's the "get away from it all" vibe that hotels give off...even in Bartholomew.

No New Posts The School

Because most Bartholian building are built industrial strength, the schools from long ago still stand despite being ancient. They also tend to make wonderful homes due to all the classrooms found there. Also, with the gym showers and the cafeteria, it could almost be a pretty good set up. Hallway space is limited, and there are only two floors for sharing, but the inhabitants here are only halfway territorial. A few different tribes can shack up here upon agreements.

No New Posts The Sewer

The Sewer is almost a world all its own considering that it twists and turns all over the other territories from below. Because of that, those who chose to live the underground life are often dealers in black market items or can get you anything you need. Because there are usually few tribes who decide to live underground, those who do tend to not be very territorial. Of course, they are also not very welcoming either, and tend to have a creepy air to them. One does not usually mess with someone from The Sewer.

No New Posts The Church

Much like the Boneyard, The Church is a highly feared and highly territorial place. This is most likely because those who inhabit The Church tend to be religious zealots who still believe in Lord Bartholomew's cult nonsense. They often use The Church to feel closer to him, and to perform various religious rituals depending on how they believe. Most of these are violent, and involve the kidnapping of nearby tribe members...

No New Posts The Casino

Though it has been many years since Bartholomew used currency enough to have a casino, it was built with industrial strength like most Bartholian buildings and still stands. Also, despite the fact that most of the currency from said casino is either long gone or proven worthless by the barter system, it doesn't mean that the inhabitants there can't use the tokens and machines there to gamble for things of their own use. Because of this, many of the tribes found there are untrustworthy and always willing to make a deal that will assure you will lose. They are also very territorial. The Casino is not a real desirable territory.

No New Posts The Bus Station

Once teeming with life trying to get somewhere, the bus station has been reduced to nothing more than a bunch of rusted, broken down vehicles that no one would know how to drive anyway. Of course, this doesn't mean that they don't make great homes. Much like the Junkyard, Bartholians willing to sleep in lesser homes can be found here. Also like the Junkyard, the inhabitants here tend to not be very territorial despite the very limited space. Then again, not everyone is jumping to shack up at the bus station...
